Expert Care and ADHD Assessment care is our core focus.

At Psych Connect, our licensed psychologists and mental health professionals specialize in the assessment, diagnosis, and understanding of ADHD and related psychological conditions. We provide evidence-based evaluations designed to give you clarity, answers, and a clear path forward.

Our assessments go beyond quick screenings or guesswork. We use validated psychological tools, clinical interviews, and expert analysis to understand attention, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and overall wellbeing.

We work with adolescents and adults who may be experiencing difficulties with focus, impulsivity, organization, emotional regulation, or academic and workplace performance. Whether you’re seeking an initial ADHD assessment, a second opinion, or clarity after years of uncertainty, we take the time to assess the whole person — not just the symptoms.

Whether you’re seeking an initial ADHD assessment, a second opinion, or long-overdue clarity, we focus on the whole person — not just symptoms. Our supportive, client-centred approach helps you gain insight, confidence, and practical recommendations to move forward with appropriate support.

Psych Connect: ADHD Assessment Process

1) Pre-Assessment Intake & Screening

The assessment begins with a detailed intake to understand presenting concerns, developmental history, and current functioning. Clients (or parents/caregivers, where appropriate) complete validated screening questionnaires covering attention, behaviour, emotional regulation, learning, and daily functioning.

Purpose:
To identify key symptoms, clarify referral questions, and ensure an ADHD assessment is appropriate.

2) Clinical Interview & Developmental History

A registered clinician conducts in-depth clinical interviews with the client and, for children, relevant caregivers. ADHD is assessed across environments and over time, so we explore early development, school history, work performance, relationships, and emotional wellbeing.

We also assess for conditions that commonly overlap with or resemble ADHD, such as anxiety, depression, learning difficulties, or behavioural challenges.

Purpose:
To build a complete psychological picture and avoid misdiagnosis.

3) Comprehensive Testing & Differential Diagnosis

4) Diagnostic Evaluation & Comprehensive Report

Following assessment, the clinician integrates all findings to determine whether diagnostic criteria for ADHD are met. Clients receive a full diagnostic report outlining:

- Diagnostic conclusions
- An explanation of strengths and challenges

- Practical recommendations for managing ADHD

- Strategies for home, school, or work environments

This report can be shared with a local GP or medical professional to support further discussion around treatment options, including medication if appropriate.

4) Results, Personalized Recommendations & Next Steps

5) Feedback Session & Next Steps

In a final feedback session, results are explained in clear, understandable language. Clients (or parents) have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss next steps, including psychological support, skill-building strategies, accommodations, or referrals.

Purpose:
To ensure clarity, confidence, and a clear plan moving forward.

What Clients Receive

Frequently Asked Questions

What conditions do you treat at your Psychology Clinic?

We treat a wide range of conditions for children and adults including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), functional capacity and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

What psychological services do you offer?

At Psych Connect, we specialise in psychological assessments and evidence-based evaluations. Our core service is comprehensive clinical assessment, designed to help individuals and families gain clarity, understand their mental health, and receive clear, professional recommendations for next steps and support.

How do I know if an ADHD assessment is right for me or my child?

If ongoing difficulties with focus, behaviour, learning, or emotional regulation are causing concern at home, school, or work, an ADHD assessment can help provide clarity. A comprehensive evaluation helps identify what’s contributing to these challenges and offers practical recommendations to support long-term wellbeing.

Do I need a referral to visit your psychology clinic?

We welcome both referred and non-referred patients and can help guide you through the process.

What are the total costs, and do you offer a flexible payment-plan?

The total cost of an ADHD assessment starts from $2,500, depending on the scope of assessment required. We understand that cost can be a concern, so we offer flexible payment options through MediPay, allowing eligible clients to spread payments from $98 per month.

MediPay approval is subject to eligibility criteria, and we’re happy to help you explore payment options during the enquiry process.

Do I need to attend sessions in person, or can assessments be done via Telehealth?

Psych Connect offers both in-person appointments and Telehealth sessions via secure Zoom, depending on your location, preferences, and clinical needs. Many components of our ADHD assessments can be completed through Telehealth, and we regularly work with clients remotely.
